The summer programme has started, and its an opportunity for anyone who wants to get together with other like minded souls to try and capture that elusive image.  Be it wet or dry, there is always something to be found if you look hard enough, but if you don’t find anything then we will still meet in the pub for a consolation pint and discuss the ‘one that got away’.

I think I have the honour in this category following a visit to Lechade.  I was standing on the bridge, with camera to my eye, when 3 swans in tight formation flew towards me and landed spectacularly on the river below.  Others were hopelessly running to the bridge to try for the shot, and my wife said something like  “wow, spectacular landing, what a shot, I bet you’re pleased with that one”, to which I replied “what landing? I was looking at the canal boat over there!”

Don’t forget the first club competition when we return is for images taken on these summer evenings, so good shooting.
