Just a few pointers as to the series competition (images arranged or coming one after the other in succession), but remember to read the rules too!  Note that this is a club judged competition so it’s your peers that will decide.

Prints:  The series is made up of 3,4,5 or 6 prints, and how you present them is up to you, be as creative as you want.   You can put them all on a single mount or display them individually (any size, the same or mixed) on the same row of one of the display boards.

Digital:  This changed for last year so a reminder that it’s now “An unlimited sequence of images, projected without sound, with a maximum running time of 60 seconds.  The series must be capable of running on the club computer as an ‘executable’ file, without the need of additional software.”  The number of images is up to you, more is not always better, and just 1 image for 60 seconds is a tad boring…..  Faststone is free software available for download, or Pictures2Exe is buyable ($75) and vastly superior, especially if you want to use it for AV creation too.  Start by selecting the images you want to use, and then we can give coaching on the use of either package during the next Tuesday Workshop.

Remember it’s more fun when you are taking part, and even more fun if you win!
